When Mr Sinclair’s priceless Clockwork Sparrow is stolen, and Sophie falls under suspicion of being involved in the crime, she teams up with some new friends – mannequin and aspiring actress Lil, apprentice porter Billy, and Joe, a mysterious boy on the run – to clear her name. But soon, Sophie discovers that she has a decided talent for detective work.
Solving mysteries ranging from a missing diamond to a stolen painting will take Sophie, Lil and their friends across Edwardian London – from high society balls to the docks of the East End. But it will also lead Sophie into the path of the sinister villain who calls himself ‘The Baron’…
